MY REFLECTIONS

1. Describe your experience in surfing the internet for appropriate electronic resources for the class? Did you find it easy or difficult?

Surfing the internet for the electronic resources to be used in the class is good because new ideas can be searched to deepen the learning and teaching quality and experiences for both teachers and learners.
But because internet gives me huge information from different websites, it would be slightly difficult for me to search for the best electronic resources for the class. It takes a great effort and long patience to search the best information from the internet.

2. How did you choose which electronic resources to include here? What did you consider? Explain.

I choose computer as an electronic resource to include here because when computer has an internet connection, there are many websites that a student to choose from. Likewise, these sites have variety of user-friendly tools helps both teachers and students reach their goals effortlessly.

3. Reflect on your technology skills. What skills do you already have and what skills would you continue to work on to be better at utilizing electronic resources?

I can say that I have enough skills on using computers, smart phones and tablet as one of the learning resources used in schools. I am very much knowledgeable and capable of using these technologies in searching specific topics, interactive games and useful references that I can use for future references.

SLIDESHOW BIZ (Slide Presentations)

My Analysis

What are the good features of a slide presentation?
- A good slide show presentation must be concise, direct to the point and insightful at the same time. It can have transitions and animations to emphasize a point but should not be too much. Its design, lay-out and formatting should be balanced with the concept presented.

Which of these features are present in the slide presentation you made?
- Among the features mentioned above, the slide presentation I made has appropriate transitions and animations, where the format and design is congruent to the concept presented – it does not clutter the slide.

Which features are not present in the slide presentation you made?
- I am afraid that the slide presentation I made is neither short nor concise. Also, the text lay-out that I have made does not follow the rule on “six lines per slide, six words per line.

My Reflections

1. What difficulties, if any, did you encounter in making the slide presentation? How did you overcome them?
- In making the slides, so far, the difficulty I encountered is choosing the information that should appear on the slide, since there is a lot of information being discussed in the reference materials. To overcome them, I read the summarized form of the lesson and from there come up with an outline that would make the preparation of the slide easier.

 - I think the net connection again and how to plan when arranging it in order, so that the students will easily understand the topic well and clearly. It is really important to plan first before to decide it in order to have a good result and good features.  I overcome it by planning because a plan may be brief but at the same time effective.

TOOLS OF THE TRADE (Teaching Aids Bank)

My Analysis

1. Less effort and can save time: - Less effort and can save time because if they are available materials, n need to find them and the flow of discussion will be continues and it can save the time of discussion.

2. It can make the learning of our students be more effective: - If our materials are available, we can say that the learning process is effective. Students can easily get the lesson In the presence of these materials.

3. The flow of the teaching process and learning process of both the students and the teacher is easier: - On the part of the teacher, it is easy for her to discuss her lesson because she can explain it in actual and perform it with the use of these materials. For example, in volleyball, she can easily demonstrate the proper skill on holding the ball or in spiking. Also, on the part of the students, they can easily apply it.

My Reflections

1. Which of the materials did you like making the most? Why?
 - Among those things that have been done in this study, the material that I like most is making this input system. 2. What difficulties, if any, did you encounter in making the material? How did you overcome them?
 - As I make my instructional materials, one of the difficulties I encounter is the availability of internet connection. I have my laptop but unfortunately my net connection was been cut and I need to go to Internet cafĂ© for making my blog.

3. What tips can you give teachers reading preparation of teaching materials?
  1. Think about trying the same materials out with different students.
  2. Keep your materials: organize them on your computer & share them with your students
  3. Remember the level of your students: important for the tasks and the instructions.
  4. Open-ended materials can fuel whole lessons.
  5. Materials should be applicable to a real-life context.
